Building momentum matters.
If not for keeping this streak alive, of thinking and writing weekly, I wouldn’t have written. And I would’ve been okay with it. Because I’ve worked for weeks straight. I’m exhausted. And I worked through most of my son’s birthday weekend. I’ve “earned” a week off.
But the streak kept me going. I’m not writing because I feel like it, but because it’s Sunday. And I write on Sundays because I feel like myself when I write on Sundays.
Momentum is an ally, but it has to be earned.
